SHANE ACKERLY

Shane, together with his wife Sheryl operate the successful training establishment Springfield Stables, a professional teaching and training barn near Penrith N.S.W. As a team they have had considerable success in the arabian saddle horse industry notching up over 20 Australian Champion Ridden Arabian and Derivative awards Shane has competed in hacking and dressage at the highest level and for many years has been a member of the NSW State Dressage Squad.

Shane is a NCAS Level 2 Dressage Coach and has regularly conducted clinics throughout Australia and New Zealand.

A Hack Council and EFA qualified judge, Shane has judged extensively in both Australia and Internationally having previously judged at Perth Royal as well as the NSW and Tasmanian HOTY.

Having recently purchased a business, Shane has less time for teaching and competing but still enjoys judging as this gives him the opportunity to see some of the country’s best show horses and continue to enjoy the company of fellow Judges and competitors.
