March 24 2008 - Judges and Program Announced
The Judges have been announced.
- Luiz Rocco, from Brazil will be judging the halter classes
- Shane Ackerly will be judging the Saddle classes, and
- Kim Martin will be judging the youth saddle classes.

Februry 10 2008 - Gala Event is On
The AVHC Committee has decided to hold the annual Gala Event on the Sunday of the June long weekend in 2008. June 8th.
All of the feedback to the committee indicated that Arabian owners, breeders, and riders were keen to get out on the arena again and the Ipswich showgrounds was the popular location for the event.

Queensland Stud Directory
The AVHC will launch the Queensland Stud Directory at the Gala Show.
The Stud Directory will allow spectators to find more information about the exhibiting studs, about studs who have not been able to exhibit, and will also provide a comprehesnive guide for people wishing to visit, or browse Queenland studs and progeny. Follow these links for details on:
- Including your stud in the directory
- Obtaining copies of the directory.
The directory will be distributed with the program for the show. It will also be able to be purchased at the show or through the AVHC club members and web site.

We're going to have a show.

So - we are starting planning for a show. The committee will meet on the 9th of February to commence planning.
Please let the committee know by e-mailing info@arabianvalley.com.au if you have any ideas you would like the committee to consider.
We will be able to field questions in time, and expect to post detailed instructons regarding attendance at the show, once some intial planning decisions have been made.

AVHC AGM
The AGM of the AVHC was held at Jimboomba Golf Club on Saturday evening the 9th of June. The atmosphere was charged with positive, friendly energy, and motivation.
All of the committee, that were able to continue duties were re-nominated, and happily accepted their appointments.
Several new committee members joined the club and we look forward to their contributions. The committee are sad to see Jason leave for other committments. His expertise will be missed and we look forward to his return when he is able.
The outgoing president (and incoming) made a rousing speech on the achievements of the club and the value of the co-operation the committee.
